Shane Weeks 
Wampum Maker and Cab specialist at Native Tec 

Shane Weeks, an enrolled member of the Shinnecock Nation, is the founder and owner of Ohke Creations, an artisan business focused on candles, jewelry, and cultural expression. He is an author, artist, traditional dancer and drummer, hunter, fisherman, cultural consultant, and educator. Shane periodically creates Wampum from Quahog clams for Wampum Magic on the Poospatuck Reservation and collaborates with Native Tec in Queens.

 

Primarily working as a cultural consultant, he partners with organizations, schools, and private parties to enhance understanding of Indigenous peoples. His work often includes presentations and events that highlight the life, history, and culture of Indigenous communities on Long Island, throughout the U.S., and beyond.
